Big and Fat

In my last post, I promised to show you guys our tree. And here it is:

I had originally wanted to buy a tree from the Forestry Club.
The club is part of our Natural Resources Department.
They had recently helped the local Forest Service in thinning the trees.
The ones that they cut down, they are now selling for a really good price.
(Cheapest tree was $10!)
Really good idea, right?
But.
(There always is one, isn't there?)
The Boy is very particular about his Christmas trees.
The Forestry Club's "Subalpine" pines* weren't what he wanted.
We ended up going to the grocery store and buying the above tree.
(It's a fatty!!! Look at it! It's nice and plump.)

-------------------------------
*Subalpine's are tall, skinny, and have sparse branches. Imagine a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Just taller...

Some Pics

Hey Guys!

Guess what we did today?

Wrastlin the sassy-tree into submission!

Our neighbors put red garland on their railing, and we only had lights on ours.
Yes, we ended up buying silver garland (only thing so far deco wise) in retaliation. :)

I'll post a picture of our tree once we finish decorating it!

(PS, we bought our plane tickets to Seattle for Christmas. Whoo!)
