Didja guys miss me? :) (Hell, I should go away more often. I have 4 more readers than when I left! Welcome guys.)
Finally home from a weekend visiting the oldest bro, Cookie* his wife, 2 midgets, and their over the hill dog Marvin. The drive there had me going almost insane, my 8-year-old niece (C) has a cough that is no longer a cough, but has most likely turned into habit. You all know the sound before a dog/cat yaks up whatever is bothering their belly? That little hack*cough* that is then followed by a puddle of ick? That is my nieces cough (minus the puddle of ick). And if her little mind isn't occupied it can occur every three seconds. My Bro resorted to sticking tissue in his ears. Me? I gave up and fell asleep. :) When it was my turn to drive, 8yo was asleep. And since dogs don't yak in their sleep, and neither does she. (Thank GOD!)
After sneaking into Cookie's place at 3-4am, we slept until... 7:30. Cookies 3yo doesn't sleep in, so neither did we. (Although, I eventually gave in to sleep deprivation and took a nap, much to the protest of 3yo.)
The weekend was full of:
-minature clown bikes (child's bike with ape-hangers. This bike would be more fun to ride under the influence of something. You have to sit really far forward in the seat, otherwise you'll tip over backwards (which I did, multiple times). But if you sit too far forward, your knees knock against the ape-hangers. I eventually got the hang of things, and have bruises on my knees to show for it.)
(in the blue is 3yo, and then My Bro)
-Kids, (a dog-pile of 8-10 kids who each took turns at attacking me. (One kid took advantage of the opprotunity to grab fist-fuls of my breaticles. I forgive him though, he's 6 1/2 and is a little (read: A lot) bit slower than his twin sister) )
- Bikes. You see the kid bikes? My old old bike from growing up was appreciatively updated by Cookie, the bike genius. We also went mt. biking down Whoops near Bend. That was fun! Mom and I hauled our road-bikes along for the ride, but we got rained out. So we went to see Monsters Vs. Aliens at McMenamins Pub. McMenamins used to be the location of an old catholic school, and has since been renovated into a pub, brewery and movie theater. For $18 we got 5 adults and 3 kids into the movie. It was a great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon!

I had a great trip, but am really glad to be home, sleeping in my own bed. :)
*No, this is not his real name. I could have called him Muffin, but I don't want to get squished on the next visit. Cookie'll have to do. :) His daughters are 3 and 7. Too cute.
