Summer Soaps

Want to see the latest update in my "Summer Soaps?"

I have mentioned in previous posts that The Roomie is now The Ex-Roomie. He moved out, left us, abandoned us. He now lives 3 Doors Down. (Literally actually). The above picture is taken from his new living room. Perfect view of the Saga-Across-the-Street.

At this house we have seen:

  • Ambulance visit number 1 - Complete with firetruck and assorted cop cars
  • Many a visit from the cops. At least once a month (less often in the winter though)
  • Drug Bust (in the lovely month of May) - Complete with 90% of the local cops*, and all the local detectives*.
  • All sorts of underage kids coming across the street to bum smokes off of The Boy and The Ex-Roomie. (This has now since stopped. Not sure if it's because all the kids found somewhere else to hang out, or if it's because The Guys have started saying "no.")
  • Ambulance visit number 2 (that I know of) - Complete with firetruck, 2-3 cop cars, and even someone wheeled out of the house and into the ambulance!
  • More cop visits.

This shit is sometimes better than HBO (ok, that's a flat-out lie...) But seeing as how we don't have TV (just a subscription to Netflix) anything is better than nothing. :)

--------------------
* We live in a relatively crime-free area. Could be that everyone is pre-dominantly one religion, or the gangs of larger cities haven't discovered our city yet. The most common things that you can find the cops in our area doing are: harassing those that drink (especially those of legal age!), giving out speeding tickets (but one officer is never enough to write a single ticket. They usually call for back-up, so there are at least 2-3 cop cars huddled around one freaked out person who was barely speeding), harassing the local teenagers (just because there is a car full of kids, does not give the cops reason to pull them over. Although, they usually don't have a reason to pull someone over - They do it anyways and make up an excuse later (like having a tail light out. Lame, huh?). Seriously), and occasionally they can be found doing some real police work, like busting the drug house across our street!

This reminds me of one of my best friends neighborhood. I love all the things she tells me about her neighbors. Haha totally like HBO and she lives in a nice area too.
